Could it be??? A new blog???

So after many comments, questions and concerns regarding our lack of blog upkeep I figured it was time to post. So many things have happened since we last updated the blog; new jobs, a new condo, a wedding in the works and I am sure so much more that I am forgetting. Lilah is now almost eight months old and growing so fast. She is newly mobile... crawling after anything and everything that catches her eye. Ryan and I are both so excited about how much she is developing... I can't believe that time has passed so quickly. Here are a few pics from Lilah:

Mohawk Update - Week 1

As she sleeps her mohawk grows and grows. I cant wait for the day Shannon comes home and I've shaved the sides of her head and left just the mohawk.

Lilah Ryan has made her entrance in to the world!

Lilah Ryan was born on August 29th 2009 at 4:44pm. She was a little stubborn but she finally came out to play. She was 8lbs 19 1/2in with a full head of hair and a natural mohawk.

Only seconds in to the world she's already trying to smile.

Lilah loves to stick out her tongue for everyone to see.

She's already ready to ROCK with her mohawk!!! We can't wait to dye it pink.

Chicago

Shannon and I just got home from our first trip to Chicago together. We stayed with Aunt Marion and had a blast hanging out with her. After a long drive Friday morning we hit up Ikea and then went back home for an early dinner. Saturday we took the train into Chicago and then a bus over to Wrigley Field where we watched the Cubs take on the Brewers. Although the Cubs lost we still had a blast and even got a free Cubs hat as a 4th of July promotion. Sunday we spent the morning at the Field Museum and then ventured over to Michigan Avenue for the last day of the Taste of Chicago. Despite the sunburns we both had a great time and can't wait to explore more of Chicago.

Ryan was inspired by the Pirate Exhibit at the Field Museum and wore this hat for the rest of the day. Tiffany beware... Chris and Levi now have one as well.
